Path to Shine Mentorship: What Neighborly Looks Like

Mentoring a child is one of the most neighborly things St. David’s does. Every Wednesday during the school year, from 2:30-5:00 p.m., our Path to Shine mentors meet with kids from our next door neighbor, Mimosa Elementary. Together, we eat and play and read and learn.

Each child is matched one-on-one with the same mentor, so a real bond forms and real progress gets made. Many of our kids have been with us for years and each of them is precious to us. We’re always seeking new full-time mentors, substitute mentors, and snack providers.

Path to Shine is actively recruiting new mentors for the 24-25 school year. If you’re available Wednesday afternoons from 2:30-5:00 p.m., and you want a meaningful and fun experience, please contact Patty Ormsby.
