A Story of Two Congregations Sharing Worship, Song, Prayers and Hope: St. David’s Rose Window on the lectern side of the Nave was a gift to St. David’s from Temple Beth Tikvah. The window has 12 sections, each listing the name of one of Jacob’s twelve sons. Shortly after St. David’s building expansion in 1985, Rector Hendree Harrison and Rabbi Donald Tam concluded an agreement whereby the newly-founded Temple would rent space to conduct its worship activities. For five years, accommodations were made for Jewish worship and congregational activities. This service is a mutual collaboration based on the history of our common singing of PSALMS and sharing worship spaces over thirty years ago. The current tumultuous world events urge us to sing, pray and worship with a deep-held desire for peace. Immediately following the service will be a reception, hosted by Temple Beth Tikvah. Neighbors, friends, family, both congregations are encouraged to attend.
