If someone asked you to describe the book of Job, what would you say? You might call it a tale of a man who served God faithfully yet lost everything in a brutal sweep of calamities. You might say it’s a story about undeserved suffering.
But Job offers us so much more than the heart-wrenching drama of one man’s “riches-to-rags-to-riches” experience. More than being a book about Job, it is, actually, a book about God!
Here is encouragement for all believers who have suffered in the past or who are presently hurting and need God-given strength. Valuable life lessons are waiting to be discovered in this book! Join us for a short six-week class as we enter Job’s world and see how he clung to his faith in God despite the worst possible circumstances. Perhaps the greatest mystery in suffering is how it can bring us into the presence of God in a state of worship; full of wonder, love, and praise!
All are welcome!
