Ash Wednesday is the first day of the penitential Lenten Season in the Episcopal Church.
We are reminded of our mortality and profess our devotion to God through the imposition of ashes during the Ash Wednesday service.
St. David’s is offering five services to observe this holy day.
7:00 a.m. – Nave. This is an abbreviated, traditional service that you may attend before starting your day. This service will have Holy Communion and the imposition of ashes. It will be live-streamed and available for viewing on YouTube throughout the day.
12:15 p.m. – Nave. This abbreviated, traditional service takes place during the lunch hour with Holy Communion and the imposition of ashes.
5:30 p.m. Family Service – Nave. This service of readings, prayers, and the imposition of ashes is designed to help families with young children experience the essentials of Ash Wednesday. This service is shorter and more participatory than our other and does not include Holy Communion.
6:30 p.m. – Nave. Our full, traditional service with Holy Communion and the imposition of ashes.
8:00 p.m. – Nave. Spanish-language service with Holy Communion and the Imposition of Ashes.
If you are new, we invite you to join us for one of these services, experience the community, and grow deeper in your relationship with Christ.
St. David's is a like-hearted and diverse community of faith gathered and shaped by Jesus’ abundant love.
