St. David’s Family Camp 2017

Welcome to St. David’s Family Camp 2017!
Family, Faith & Fellowship
August 25-27, 2017

This weekend away from St. David’s will be held at Kanuga Episcopal Conference Center, about a 3 hour drive from the church located in Hendersonville, NC on August 25th-27th.
It is a weekend focused on Family, Faith & Fellowship and designed as a special time for St. David’s families to come together to “unplug” and build a community of faith. Booking is now available, follow the attached link:

Camp will focus on providing us time to play together, eat together and worship together – as a family. All meals and activities, everything from s’mores and singing by the fire, hiking, outdoor worship in the woods and Sunday Eucharist by the lake, time rocking on the porch with friends while overlooking the lake, swimming in the lake, archery, arts & crafts for kids and a roped climbing wall are all inclusive to the weekend. The only additional cost is the High Ropes activity which is $18 per person (minimum age to participate is 8 years old). This activity will be paid for at time of booking. Last year we had all generations attend and it made it such a very special weekend for our community.

All bookings are made online directly with Kanuga. Accommodations are booked at the same cost in either the newly renovated lodge with hotel style rooms and their own bathrooms or the historic cottages where you may or may not choose to share with another family (multiple size cottages with rooms and bathrooms depending on the size of your group).

If you have any questions, please reach out to one of the following Family Camp Committee Members: Jennifer Rust (, Kathryn Watson ( GG Daly ( or Mother Michelle (

How do I register?
All bookings are done online directly with Kanuga through our own online booking link.
You must complete your booking & pay once you start. Do start with an adult first as this will become the name of your booking. Each family member must be registered in the booking. You can elect to book and pay for part of your family and then go back and book other persons in your family at a later date (to spread out the cost).

We have found it is easier to do your booking on a desktop rather than phone/mobile device.

All bookings must be complete by July 1st.

Can I get a refund if I have to cancel?
As this is a not for profit facility there is a strict cancellation policy. Please read the cancellation fees on the registration page.

What is Accommodation like?
Kanuga offers cottages that can be shared by 2 families as well as a newly renovated lodge (hotel style) for both couples (King) or double beds and larger families. If you require 2 rooms for your family you can request Hotel accommodation with adjoining rooms.

Can I request accommodation with another family?
Yes! Most cottages are specifically designed to share with another family (multiple private bathrooms provided) or you can elect to have a cottage for your own family. Book early!

What is the alcohol policy?
Adults may bring and consume their own alcohol in cups that are not transparent. We are asked not to bring alcohol into the dining room or walk around with it flagrantly. Specifically we want to make sure we are respectful of the peaceful nature and family environment of Kanuga.

Are scholarships available?
Yes! Please see Rev. Michelle to inquire. All requests will be treated with absolute discretion.
