As Christians, we are called to follow Christ’s teachings, come together for worship and to work, pray, and give for the spread of the Kingdom of God. (The Book of Common Prayer, p. 856.)
At St. David’s, we pray that our ministries will flourish because of strong giving by our members. Our ministries are fruitful when the generosity of our parishioners is abundant. We strive to be a parish that lifts our hearts, hands, and voices to honor God and his gifts through the generosity of our time, talent, and treasure.
St. David’s, through its many outreach ministries, as well as those ministries that serve our own parishioners, helps many hundreds of needy people each year: the homeless, the hungry, the depressed and addicted, the sick, the lonely, the grieving. Your financial support allows us to continue those ministries.
Your contribution also pays to educate our children, young people, and adults through Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Bible studies and Wednesday evening programming. It allows us to enjoy regular fellowship gatherings for all parishioners.
And of course, your generosity helps us keep the lights on and the air conditioning running, buys the wine and wafers for the blessed Sacrament, pays staff and clergy salaries, and allows us to maintain the beauty of our Nave— the Holy space we have dedicated to the worship of the Lord.
Our elected Vestry members are responsible for budgeting your financial contributions and ensuring that St. David’s practices good stewardship of those funds.
