BECOMING DISCIPLES THROUGH BIBLE STUDY
DISCIPLE I is a 34-weeksmall group study(17 weeks with the Hebrew Scriptures and 17 weeks with the New Testament)emphasizing disciplined reading of and listening to the Scriptures. Students use both the Bible and the study manual to complete daily reading assignments, generally about 45 minutes per day. The Disciple I curriculum is organized by themes such as “Sin” and “Trust” rather than a linear Book by Book study of the Bible. Weekly meetings of 1 ½ hours include video presentations with commentary by some of today’s leading Biblical scholars, class discussion and prayer. In Disciple, 85% of the entire Bible will be read.
St. David’s Disciple Group will meet Wednesday evenings, 6:30 – 7:45 pm, beginning August 16th, 2017. Our first 17 weeks, focusing on the Old Testament, concludes Dec 13th. After the Christmas holidays, we will resume January 3rd, for our final 17 weeks covering the New Testament. Registration fee is $50. Scholarships are available.Registration and a check are required by July 2nd in order to get the workbooks to you by August 1st.
