Safeguarding God’s Children is a diocesan sponsored training program that teaches a code of conduct for the protection of children and youth. The training program is required by our diocese for all adult volunteers, vestry, and staff who work with the children and youth of our parish. We hope that by everyone completing this training we can have the knowledge and training needed to keep our children safe. All volunteers must re-certify every 3 years.
You can complete the training by attending an on-site training (more information below) or completing the training online. The online training is 5 modules that take 45 minutes each.

Safeguarding God’s Children Training
9:30 to 12:30
St. David’s Episcopal Church
Sponsored by Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta
Training facilitated by Rev. Mary Erickson
This training is an opportunity to equip church staff and volunteers, lay leaders and parents with awareness and information to protect the children they know and care for in their personal lives and the ministries in which they serve. Safeguarding God’s Children is an educational and training resource that is founded on the philosophy that, if every buy xenical no prescription adult can protect just one child, they will forever change one life. If we can all change one life, together we will make a difference in this generation of children.
This 3 hour group training is required by the Diocese of Atlanta for all church personnel (paid or volunteer) who regularly work with or around children and youth, all members of the vestry and members of any supervisory group over the children or youth of the parish (the Diocese of Atlanta’s Policies for the Protection of Children and Youth from Abuse).
Thousands of children are served every year in our churches, worshipping communities, schools, programs and activities. Our commitment at the Diocese of Atlanta is to keep God’s precious ones nurtured in faith and safe from abuse of any kind.
Therefore, we are serious about educating parents, clergy and youth and children’s ministers about the need for complete transparency and prudence in protecting our children. Thank you for making the time to participate in this training designed to communicate important information that will help you and your parish keep children and youth safe.
With every blessing,
The Rt. Rev. Robert C. Wright
Bishop of Atlanta
