In Colonial Times, Quilting Bees were important gatherings for the women and girls of a community. While they sewed on a warm snuggly quilt, they visited together, catching up on the news of the day.

Here at St. David’s, our present-day equivalent is the Prayer Shawl Ministry, where we knit or crochet snuggly shawls for people who need a little extra tender loving care. Some shawls go to recently bereaved parishioners, some to the ill, some to new moms, and some to someone who is just feeling blue. At the start and end of each is there a generic cialis drug meeting, we pray for those folks who will receive the shawls, as well as for more compassion and concern within ourselves. It is a calming, beautiful experience!

If you would like to join us, please come on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7 pm and meet with us in the Hope classroom on the lower level of Jeffords Fellowship Hall. No previous experience is necessary; we will teach you to knit or crochet and we even have yarn and needles for you. For more information, contact Maureen Hallowell at
