Nursery
Sunday Morning Nursery Offerings:
Childcare is offered from 8:45 a.m. until the end of the 11:15 a.m. church service for infants through 4/5 years olds (Pre-K).
The nursery caregivers are dedicated to:
Providing a safe, clean and trusting environment for the children of St. David’s – a place for our youngest parishioners to rest, play, eat and be loved.
Providing the children of St. David’s with the love and care necessary for a happy stay in the nursery.
Providing parents the opportunity to worship knowing their children are in good hands.
Nursery Services available for Infants through PreK/4’s:
In the Infant and Toddler Rooms, for the 9:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. services, we have a regular group of volunteers to make the nurseries as comfortable and familiar as possible for our babies (and their parents). The other caregivers are a combination of youth and adult volunteers who serve on a rotational basis. We do not use parents of this age group because they usually need a break and because most babies do not share their parents well.
In the Twos, Threes, and Pre-K rooms, we rely on the parents of children ages two through four to care for children during the 9:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. services on a rotating basis. Schedules are mailed to active parishioners three times per year, and parents are asked to "swap" with another couple if they have been scheduled at an inconvenient time.
Infants/Toddlers are in St. Anne and St. Mary
2s are in St. Elizabeth (DOB: 9/1/08 - 8/31/09)
3s are in St. Mark (DOB: 9/1/07 - 8/31/08)
4s are in St. John (DOB: 9/1/06 - 8/31/07)
Other Nursery Offerings:
Childcare for Wonder-full Wednesdays
Childcare is offered from 5:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. in the St. Anne Room, St. Mary room, and St. Elizabeth Room, as needed. Childcare is provided for infants through 3 year olds. Childcare will also be available for older children from
5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Please bring adequate supplies for the length of stay. These might include diapers, change of clothing, pacifier, bottle (with formula already prepared) and/or sippy cups. Since nursery time frequently disrupts normal routines, a bottle of milk or juice sometimes soothes a fussy infant even if your baby does not usually eat at this time. Please be sure to label everything.
RSVP’s for childcare are required for Wonder-full Wednesdays by calling 770-993-1094, ext. 130, by Monday of the program week so we can ensure adequate coverage!
You may also make your reservation online by going to “Wednesday
Nights” on the left Nav bar of this page.
Additionally, we provide nursery care for many special services and
programs, such
as Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, and Christmas Eve services. Notification
about nursery offerings for those services is published in the Illumination
newsletter.
